Independent Journal Review (IJR) is one of the largest news publishers in the world. IJR is a news site dedicated to providing objective, fair, and deeply creative, shareable news. We're looking for two part-time, creative, passionate and experienced copy editors who can help ensure our articles are of the highest quality. Our ideal candidate enjoys close collaboration with writers. He or she is able to succeed in a fast-paced environment and feels confident taking initiative. The ability to focus under pressure and multitask is essential.
This job would ideally be based out of our Washington, D.C.-area office. This role will be part-time, temporary (90-days) employment. We're looking for one copy editor to work 25 hours/week and another to work 30 hours/week.
